If you are starting to realize that your scrapbooks are all over the place and you are in need of organizing them, your best option would be to group them and bind them up. This could be costly or cheap depending on the binding method you choose.
You can buy albums, 3-ring binders, D-ring binders to name a few for the thinner collections of scrapbooks, Trojan post binders for the thicker ones. The advantage of using these is that you can easily remove and add more scrapbooks without having to tear anything.
Binding wires and spiral coils are quite effective and neat if you are able to buy the binding machines which can mechanically punch in the binding wires into place. Or visit your nearest Kinkos or office suppliers store where you can usually get bindings for a nominal fee. The binding wires and spiral coils come in different shapes, colors and sizes.
Plastic coils are a cheaper alternative to wires but still as efficient. The advantage you have is that plastic, unlike many metals used in binding wires is that plastic ones do not rust.
The use of tape strips is another appealing method of binding your scrapbooks. For this you will need a tape binding machine or find a place that can do this for you.
Thermal binding is yet another method where you can bind your scrapbooks. Heat is used to fuse cloth or plastic together and because of this it results in a neat and strong bind. Attach the cloth or plastic to the scrapbooks.
If you wish to keep it creative and cost-effective you could opt to create your own album. Design the cover using cardboard if you wish and you can also punch holes in the side of the scrapbooks and bind them together with yarn or thread. You can even sew the pages together using a simple needle and thread. Whichever method you select, and you are not limited to just one, keep it neat and creative!
